Have questions? We have answers.
Am I a good candidate for treatment?
Our stem cell therapy tends to be most effective in people who are:
- Active regularly, whether through daily life or sports
- Already engaged in a healthy lifestyle
- At a healthy weight
If you’re not sure whether you will be a good candidate for stem cell therapy, schedule a consultation with Dr. Kim. While discussing your options, he can also help you make a plan to improve underlying conditions before you return for treatment.
How long does the procedure take?
If stem cell therapy is a good option to treat your back pain, you can expect to walk in and out of the same-day procedure under your own power.
What kind of results can I expect?
Most patients experience decreased pain and increased range of motion within four to 12 weeks after the initial procedure. Stem cell injections can be repeated if needed, although many patients report that the initial treatment leads to years of relief and renewed strength.
How much does stem cell therapy cost?
Is stem cell therapy covered by insurance?
Your insurance plan may cover your initial consultation with Dr. Kim. However, no health insurer currently covers stem cell therapy. Please take some time to review your coverage, including your in-network and out-of-network benefits, so you know what charges to expect.
What are my payment options for stem cell therapy?
We accept cash and all major credit and debit cards. In addition, if you have a health savings account (HSA) or flexible spending account (FSA) through your employer, you may be able to set aside funds in this pre-tax account in order to pay for these treatments. Or, you may wish to look into Care Credit, a credit card specifically for medical charges with zero interest over a set number of months.
